Iraq's Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received an official invitation from the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Iraq, Branislav Zejelj, on Saturday.

The Prime Minister's Media Office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received the Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Iraq, Branislav Zejelj, who delivered a letter to the Prime Minister containing an official invitation from the new Prime Minister of Serbia to visit Belgrade."

The meeting, according to the statement, reviewed "bilateral relations and ways to develop them in all fields, in a way that achieves mutual interests and benefits, especially in the economic, trade, and investment fields, and strengthens the close ties between the two friendly countries."
