AVİM commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Khojaly massacre committed by troops of the Republic of Armenia on 26 February 1992 in the town of Khojaly in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, which still remains under illegal occupation of Armenian separatists along with seven surrounding regions. As a result of the massacre, 613 Azerbaijani citizens including 106 women, 63 children and 70 elderly people were killed. Furthermore, 1.275 people were taken hostage, 150 of them still missing. AVİM stands in solidarity with the people of Azerbaijan in demanding a just solution to this conflict in accordance with international law and with respect to the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
