On 19 February 2019, the conference titled “200 Yıllık Bir Öykü: Dünden Bugüne Ermeni Basını” (A 200-Year Story: Armenian Press from the Past to the Present). The speaker of the conference was Dr. Hülya Eraslan, a Research Assistant at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism.  

Dr. Hülya Eraslan at her presentation discussed the significance of the Armenian press in the Ottoman State and the Republic of Turkey for the Ottoman and Turkish Armenians by the help of cases and following the line starting from Lıro Kir, the first Armenian language newspaper in the Ottoman State that was begun to be published in 1832 to Agos, the most significant representative of the Armenian press in Turkey in the present.
