The seventh issue of the Avrasya Dünyası / Eurasian World journal that aims to present analyses and assessments on the Eurasian region has been published. In line with the approach that we followed in the fifth and sixth issues, which aims to analyze the Eurasian region through its sub-regions, the Caucasus region constitutes the core of this issue. Accordingly, this issue that was published with the heading “Centerpiece of Eurasia, the Caucasus” includes a total of fourteen analyses and assessments, nine of which focus on the Caucasus.   

We believe that comprehending realities, processes and developments in the Caucasus as the ‘hinge’ of the eastern and western wings of Eurasia is an imperative to better understand the Eurasian region. In addition, we are sure that the large scale clashes between Azerbaijan and Armenia over Karabakh, which erupted in July and then in the last days of September and are still continuing, make this issue of the Avrasya Dünyası / Eurasian World all the more important.
