On May 3, 2016, the Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM) held a conference titled “An Outlook On Turkish-Armenian Relations” with R. Ambassador Kadri Ecvet Tezcan as the keynote speaker who served as the Turkish Ambassador to Baku, Azerbaijan in the years 1998-2001 and as Deputy Undersecretary of the Department for Multilateral Political Affairs in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2008 to 2009.

On 6 April 2016 in the Tophane-i Amire Culture and Arts Center of Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey held the inauguration of a postcard exhibition illustrating the 800 years of Turkish-Armenian relations.

AVİM CONDEMS THE TERRORIST ATTACK IN ANKARA ON 17 FEBRUARY

On Wednesday, 17 February, during the rush-hour traffic, a terrorist attack was carried out in Ankara’s Merasim Street against service vehicles carrying civilian and military personal. 28 citizens lost their lives, while 61 were injured during the attack. This deplorable news has brought great sorrow to AVİM.
