Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov held a meeting with German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Robert Habeck within COP29, Trend reports.

"Together with my colleague, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov, we engaged in discussions with Vice Chancellor Robert Habeck on the state of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany. Key topics included Azerbaijan's significant role in global energy security, ongoing renewable energy projects, and initiatives related to sustainable solutions and green hydrogen development," Jabbarov shared in a statement.

To note, the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), which will run until November 22, opened at the Baku Olympic Stadium on November 11. It is the largest event organized by Azerbaijan to date, and the first time in the region that it is being held in Azerbaijan.
