BAGHDAD TO HOST THE 52ND SESSION OF THE ORGANIZATION OF ISLAMIC COOPERATION COUNCIL OF FOREIGN MINISTERS

The Undersecretary of the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral and Legal Affairs, Ambassador Shorsh Khalid Saeed, and the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Ambassador Yousef Al-Dubaie, signed on Wednesday a report on preparations for Iraq to host the 52nd session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) indicated that "the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral and Legal Affairs, Ambassador Shorsh Khalid Saeed, and the Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs of the OIC, Ambassador Yousef Al-Dubaie, signed at the Ministry building the report of the preparatory meeting concerning the organizational and technical arrangements for Iraq to host the 52nd session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OIC, scheduled to be held from April 11 to 12."

According to the statement, the meeting included "a comprehensive discussion of the various administrative, technical, and logistical preparations, in addition to a review of the proposed program for holding the session in Baghdad."
