The office of the head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party Masoud Barzani denied on Wednesday, sending letters to the coordination framework regarding the candidates for the post of prime minister.

"Some media outlets circulated that President Masoud Barzani sent several messages to the leaders of the coordination framework regarding the political process and the names of candidates for the position of prime minister in the next Iraqi government," stressing that "this news is not real and baseless," according to a statement by Barzani's office received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The statement included, "However, we affirm that with regard to the Iraqi political process and the new government, the names of people and parties are not important to Barzani, but rather the application of the constitution and what the program of the next government is, as the government program must be built on the basis of the three principles, which are partnership, balance and consensus."
