The head of the team supporting the Supreme Anti-Corruption Commission, Abu Ali Al-Basri, announced the dismantling of many networks accused of corruption and the arrest of a large number of suspects. While he indicated that the current year will be different in the anti-corruption file, he revealed a directive to the Prime Minister to pursue the corrupt.

Al-Basri said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The team supporting the Supreme Committee for Combating Corruption works in two directions: the preventive aspect and the human rights file regarding the accused who were arrested," indicating that "the committee opened major corruption files in all governorates and arrested dozens of accused against whom judicial orders were issued in coordination with the Integrity Commission."
