Iraq affirmed its commitment to supporting victims of terrorism and strengthening international partnerships, on Tuesday.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Cairo and the Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Qahtan Al-Janabi, headed the Iraqi delegation participating in the celebration of the International Day for Awareness of the Pain and Tragedies of Victims of Terrorism, held on May 27th, 2025, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reporter.

Al-Janabi highlighted, in his speech at the celebration, "Iraq has made great efforts in confronting terrorism and its repercussions," noting "the great sacrifices made by Iraqis in defense of their national security and regional and international peace."
