Iraq's Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed, on Friday, Iraq’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Türkiye.

A statement from the Ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), noted that the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr al-Uloom, participated in a celebration hosted by the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad to mark the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.

The statement added that the Undersecretary delivered remarks conveying the congratulations of Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to the government and the friendly people of Türkiye. He emphasized Iraq’s keenness to develop strategic relations with Türkiye and to expand the prospects of joint cooperation across political, economic, and security spheres, in a manner that serves the interests of both nations and their friendly peoples.
