Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani directed, on Sunday, full communication and cooperation with the Electoral Commission to ensure the success of the electoral process.

The Prime Minister's media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani chaired the regular meeting of the High Council for Coordination between the Governorates, during which the situation in the governorates was reviewed, as well as previous decisions and recommendations. Topics on the agenda were also discussed and decisions were made regarding them."

At the beginning of the meeting, Prime Minister commended the efforts of local governments, their governors, administrative and service agencies, and voluntary activities, for their role in ensuring the success and accommodating the multimillion pilgrimages, and the distinguished level of services provided to visitors and to those arriving through the border crossings. He stressed the importance of submitting the annual report on the pilgrimage to the Supreme Committee for Multimillion Pilgrims Events in order to review positives and negatives.
