Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid discussed on Sunday ways to deepen cooperation with Italy across political, economic, technological and cultural fields during a meeting with Italian Ambassador to Iraq Niccolò Fontana, the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

The statement said President Rashid received Ambassador Fontana at Al-Salam Palace, where the two sides reviewed avenues to expand bilateral cooperation and build on existing partnerships.

Rashid stressed the importance of bolstering ties between the two countries across multiple sectors.
