Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani emphasized on Sunday the priority of completing projects in historical sites in Baghdad and gradually expanding these efforts to other areas of the capital.

The Prime Minister’s Media Office stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani chaired a meeting on Sunday regarding the development and rehabilitation of the second phase of Rashid Street, which extends from al-Rasafi Square to the beginning of Abu Nawas Street.”

According to the statement, the meeting was attended by the Mayor of Baghdad, the Governor of the Central Bank, and a number of advisors and relevant officials.
