Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi and US Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran Affairs Jennifer Givito discussed cooperation according to the foundations of the strategic dialogue.

Al-Halbousi received Givito on Monday, while the US ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller attended the meeting as well, according to the media office of the Speaker of the Parliament statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA.

During the meeting, bilateral relations between the two countries and the continuation of cooperation in accordance with the foundations of the strategic dialogue were discussed, as well as a number of international and regional issues and files of common interest.
