Kazakhstan has completed the track connection on the 323.3-kilometer Moiynty-Kyzylzhar railway line, marking a key milestone in one of the country’s major transport infrastructure projects.

The new line, being built across the Ulytau and Karagandy Regions, is designed to strengthen Kazakhstan’s transport and logistics potential, expand international routes and increase export and transit capacity. Once commissioned, the line will become an important link of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, known as the Middle Corridor, improving regional connectivity and freight transportation efficiency. The project will shorten freight routes by 149 kilometers, ease pressure on the Moiynty-Zharyk railway section, increase container train speeds and expand capacity for freight and transit traffic.
