Kyrgyzstan considers it necessary to resume rail and road communications with Russia, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of the republic Eldar Alisherov said during a briefing in Bishkek on Wednesday.

He noted that since the beginning of the pandemic, only air flights between Russia and Kyrgyzstan are carried out, and now the issue of passenger transportation via rail and road connections is being worked out.

Alisherov said that such an agreement with Kazakhstan to resume regular passenger transportation from Kyrgyzstan to Russia through the territory of Kazakhstan has already been reached, however, the last word rests with the Russian Federation.
