The Sovereignty Alliance affirmed its support Muhammad al-Halbousi as Speaker of Parliament, while calling for a comprehensive national reconciliation.

The coalition said in a statement  that "while we are firmly striving to prevent any conflict or escalation that harms civil peace and put the people and state institutions to any dangers, we affirm our keenness once again for an honest and serious national dialogue that ends the political crisis, and It opens a new prospect of political process.

"We affirm the continuation of our efforts with all loyal people towards comprehensive national reconciliation, and we will take close steps to reach a formula in which the national forces meet, and which will be acceptable to all, overcoming the higher interests of the homeland and the rights and aspirations of citizens." The statement added.
