On Tuesday, 3 November 2026, a conference titled “Türkiye-Indian Subcontinent Relations Throughout History” (“Tarihsel Süreç İçerisinde Türkiye-Hint Alt Kıtası İlişkileri”) was held, featuring Ambassador (Ret.) Numan Hazar as the speaker. During the conference, Ambassador (Ret.) Numan Hazar discussed the centuries-old historical ties between Turks and the Indian subcontinent, the states they established in the region, and the cultural interaction that emerged throughout this process. He examined the traces of the historical and cultural legacy left by the Turks in the region that are visible today in various locations, most notably in New Delhi, the capital of India. Furthermore, Ambassador Hazar analyzed the relations that Türkiye has cultivated with the Indian subcontinent within a historical perspective (these relations trace their roots from the present day to the Ottoman State era), and offered insights into the future of relations between Türkiye and the countries of the region by considering their specific political, historical, and cultural characteristics.

The conference concluded following a Q&A session.
