We are delighted to announce the publication of the landmark 50th issue of the Review of Armenian Studies (RAS), a testament to our enduring commitment to providing insightful scholarly analysis on Armenian-and Caucasus related issues. This milestone issue not only honors the memory of our esteemed founder, Ambassador (R.) Ömer Engin Lütem, but also underscores our ongoing dedication to fostering a deep understanding across the disciplines of History, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, and Law.

This special edition, titled "Geopolitical Dynamics and Historical Narratives in the Caucasus," features two pivotal sections: "Historical Contexts and Cultural Reflections" and "Regional Influence and Memory." These sections collectively explore the intricate tapestry of the Caucasus region's history, its current geopolitical climate, and the persistent influence of past events on present-day politics and identity.

This issue highlights an insightful analysis by Chief Editor Ambassador (R.) Alev Kılıç in "Facts and Comments," offering a current perspective on Armenia's internal and foreign affairs. This analysis sets a robust foundation for subsequent discussions within this edition.

This issue introduces our new Managing Editor, Dr. Teoman Ertuğrul Tulun, who continues our dedication to rigorous academic standards and insightful analysis.

Further contributions include Tuğce Tecimer’s exploration of early Arab invasions and the role of Theodoros Rshtuni in shaping regional policies during the 7th century, and Şahnaz Tağıyeva's examination of the strategic use of the Armenian population in regional politics.

Şahnaz Tağıyeva offers an in-depth look at the strategic uses and impacts of Armenian population movements within the regional geopolitical context.

Adil Çelik examines the portrayal of Armenians in Turkish folklore and its implications for societal identity and cultural perceptions.

Nazrin Alizada assesses Iran’s strategic responses to the recent conflicts in the region and its broader geopolitical implications.

Celal Pakdoğan analyze the evacuation’s impact on local resistance and regional power dynamics.

Erva Yalçın offers an intriguing review about Boğos Torosyan's analysis of Divriğili, which showcases a unique exploration of the integration of Turkish and Armenian languages through verse.

As we navigate these complex narratives, we extend a heartfelt thank you to our contributors, whose relentless pursuit of truth and clarity ensures that RAS remains a leader in scholarly research. Their dedication is pivotal as we continue to dissect and understand the ever-evolving geopolitical dynamics of the Caucasus.
