The possibility of Armenia paying for Russian gas supplies in rubles is being discussed, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said.

His remarks came at the National Assembly meeting during the governmental hour, answering the questions of deputies.

At the moment, as the representative of the Government noted, the issue of the currency, which will be used in the future to pay the customs duties of the EAEU, is being discussed.

"But I cannot promise that this issue will be solved. There are objective reasons for that. However at the moment, globally, this issue is being discussed in the public space, and at some point it will definitely become part of the current agenda," Grigoryan noted.
