A conference entitled “The right to decolonization of French Polynesia - challenges and perspectives” was held at the Azerbaijan`s Milli Majlis on Thursday. 

Addressing the conference, the First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Policy and State Building Ali Huseynli welcomed the participants of the conference on behalf of the Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova and wished them success.

Ali Huseynli emphasized that the Azerbaijani government and people have consistently shown strong resistance to the policy of neocolonialism. He highlighted the significance of the discussions held by the Republic of Azerbaijan on this issue at the international level, particularly by President Ilham Aliyev during Azerbaijan's Chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). He noted that the establishment of the Baku Initiative Group also serves this purpose.
