Kyrgyz Parliament Speaker Nurlanbek Shakiev took part in a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on June 3 in Almaty, the parliament's press service reported.

The state and prospects for development of the Organization, as well as drafts of a number of model acts were discussed.

Speaker Shakiev expressed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in expanding cooperation within the CSTO, paying special attention to increasing the Organization’s potential in the field of ensuring regional and international security.
