The European Union has never been so close to Armenia, according the bloc’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas who arrived in Armenia on Monday for talks.

Noting the success of reforms in Armenia in recent years, Kallas, speaking at a joint press conference with Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, gave assurances that she was ready to deepen cooperation with the country in various sectors.

As financial assistance programs, she highlighted the 2024-27 business assistance program in the amount of 270 million euros, and the social assistance for displaced persons. But Kallas did not specify where and why these people were displaced.
