Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq Fuad Hussein affirmed on Sunday Iraq's commitment to respecting the national sovereignty of states and adhering to international law, which contributes to preventing any escalation in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein headed the Republic of Iraq's delegation on Sunday at the 165th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, held via video conference, chaired by the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Abdullatif Al-Zayani."

In his address, Hussein emphasized "Iraq's commitment to respecting the national sovereignty of states and adhering to international law, which contributes to preventing any escalation in the region," noting that "Iraq will not be an arena for settling regional scores, will not be a party to any conflict, and will not allow its territory to be used to attack neighboring countries."
