Iraq's President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, met on Thursday with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss the cases of Turkish citizens convicted or detained in Iraq.

The Judicial Council's media office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faiq Zaidan, met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan."

The statement added that Judge Zaidan discussed—during the meeting—the cases of Turkish citizens convicted or detained in Iraq.
