Iraq's National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji affirmed on Monday that Iraq enjoys balanced relations with all countries of the world.

The National Security Advisor's media office stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "National Security Advisor Qasim al-Araji received the British Ambassador to Baghdad, Irfan Siddiq, who offered his congratulations on the successful parliamentary elections in Iraq."

The British Ambassador explained that "the success of the parliamentary elections demonstrates the citizens' confidence in their democratic system," noting that "Iraq plays a prominent role in the stability of the region and the world, and that the balanced policy it has pursued has kept Iraq and the region away from conflicts and wars." He also praised the role of diplomacy and dialogue, which the Iraqi government encourages, in resolving crises in the region.
