On November 6, 2024, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Iran Turdakun Sydykov met with the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture of the Islamic Republic of Iran - Co-Chairman of the Iranian part of the IGC Gholamreza Gezelje. During the meeting, the parties discussed topical issues on the development of Kyrgyz-Iranian bilateral cooperation and promotion of the implementation of the Protocol of the 13th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the IRI.

Ambassador Sydykov, noting the important role of the regular meetings of the IGC and the implementation of the goals and objectives outlined in their results proposed to establish a joint interagency expert-level expert working group for further monitoring, information exchange and effective promotion of the implementation of the Protocol items.
