Russia is working on issues related to strengthening trade and investment cooperation with China, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Tuesday in a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in Moscow.

Lavrov said relevant departments of the Russian government are dealing with issues related to strengthening the interaction in the areas of trade and investment cooperation, as well as in the humanitarian sphere.

"Of course, our main tasks are to ensure close coordination on issues of international politics, including strategic stability, reliable security assurance for the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China, and our joint actions in international organizations," he said.
