The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) affirmed on Tuesday that Iraq has moved beyond the stage of stabilization and recovery to a stage of sustainable institutional development and achieving long-term national priorities.

The UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq, Ghulam Mohammad, stated in a speech during the closing ceremony of the Demographic Transition Project in Iraq, which was attended by an Iraqi News Agency (INA) correspondent: “This occasion provides an opportunity to review what has been achieved in Iraq over the past five years, and it invites us to reflect on what these achievements mean for the country’s future and its trajectory.”
