US Special Envoy for the Western Balkans(*) Gabriel Escobar said that the United States will be increasingly engaged in the region, mainly focusing on the fight against corruption.
In an interview with Nova, he pointed out that it is necessary to improve election conditions in Serbia and improve access for the media but also pointed out that the opposition should participate in that process.
(*) AVİM considers the term "Western Balkans" to be a politically motivated separatist terminology and instists on the use of the geographical and historical identification "Balkans" regarding the region.
