
40 members of MFA, who had been martyred since 1970s by terrorist organizations such as Armenian Secret Army for the Liberation of Armenia (ASALA), Justice Commandos of the Armenian Genocide (JCAG) Armenian Revolutionary Army (ARA) and Revolutionary Organization 17 November were remembered at the ceremony held at Martyrs' Cemetery of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey in the Cebeci, Ankara.
Under Secretary Ümit Yalçın delivered a speech at the ceremony which started with a moment of silence. Following the prayer, wreathes were laid on behalf of the President, Speaker of the Parliament, Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spouses Solidarity Association.
Wreathes on behalf of Retired Ambassadors and Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM) were also laid at Martyr’s Cemetery.
The ceremony attended by members of our Ministry, relatives of martyrs, representatives of diplomatic corps and citizen ended with extending sympathies to martyrs' relatives and visiting graves of our martyrs.
On Martyrs' Day, we bow respectfully before the memory of our martyred diplomats and of all martyrs.
