Prof. Dr. Kemal Çiçek shared a comprehensive analysis regarding the rebellion of Armenians of Musa Dagh with the participants in his presentation based on the Ottoman sources, which have been evaluated little so far, as well as the American, British and Red Cross documents considering the incident of the Armenians of Musa Dagh, who did not accept the relocation and resettlement and to resist the Ottoman gendarmerie there. In addition to that, in his presentation, Prof. Dr. Kemal Çiçek demonstrated with reference to their permanent cooperation with the Allied Powers and their engagement with the fifth column activities that the relocation of the Armenians of Musa Dagh was based on justified and legitimate reasons. Starting from the question “Was the Musa Dagh incident a rebellion or a resistance?”, Çiçek clarified whether the claims regarding the Armenians of Musa Dagh reflect the reality or not.
