Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein and the Assistant Secretary of State for Iraq and Iran Jennifer Gavito discussed the developments of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the climb up of oil prices.

Hussein received Gavito on Monday, in the presence of the American Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller, and the Director of National Security for Iraq and Syria, Zahra Bell, according to a statement by the ministry received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to develop joint cooperation between Baghdad and Washington, as the two sides discussed the Iraqi situation and the issue of forming the new Iraqi government including the obstacles it faces.
