National Security Advisor Qasim al-Aboudi affirmed on Wednesday that the government continues to implement its security program decisions related to state control of weapons and strengthening security agreements with brotherly and friendly countries.

Al-Aboudi received the European Union Ambassador, Clemens Semtner, and the ambassadors and chargés d'affaires of the European Union embassies in Iraq, said the National Security Advisor's media office in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The meeting addressed “strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Iraq and the European Union and the continuation of the mutual partnership, in a way that serves Iraq's best interests."
