Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received a letter of thanks on Wednesday from Dr. Hanan Hassan Balkhi, Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) for the Middle East region.

According to a statement from the Presidency obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Dr. Balkhi commended the President’s vision for advancing national health security and building a resilient healthcare system capable of withstanding climate change. She emphasized that her visit to Iraq provided important opportunities for exchanging views, ideas, and cooperation between Iraq and the WHO.

Dr. Balkhi reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting Iraq’s efforts to enhance the country’s healthcare sector.
