PROFESSOR NORMAN STONE BURIED IN TURKEY

It was quite well-known that Professor Norman Stone loved Turkey and considered the country his second homeland. In accordance with his will, Professor Stone, who passed away in Budapest was brought to Istanbul and buried in the Protestant cemetery on Wednesday, 3 July, 2019. Attended by his family, friends, colleagues and his students, the burial ceremony created one more occasion to recall the virtues of a great man and historian. Professor Norman Stone will now forever be missed and remembered in this country, which now also became his eternal home.

AVİM is deeply saddened over the passing away of Mr. Jean-Louis Mattei on Saturday, 15 June 2019. Mr. Mattei was well-known for his historical research, book translations, and contributions to the Turkish-French cultural interaction.

Council of Turkish Cypriot Associations in Britain (CTCA UK), will hold their third Turkish Cypriot Cultural Festival on Sunday, June 30 at Enfield Playing Fields, Donkey Lane. The event will once again bring together the Turkish Cypriot community to celebrate and share their culture with local people.

Dr. Seyyed Kazem Sajjadpour, Ambassador of Iran in Ankara H.E. Mouhammad Farazmand, and scholars conducting research on Iran and regional issues.
